Lo Imposible: don’t miss it!

Last week, I went to cinema with a friend of Tia Tula and we chose to watch the new Spanish movie: Lo Imposible. We’ve been so surprised! That’s not exactly what we were expecting to see. A great film that we recommend you!

The movie is the real story of a Spanish family who went on holiday to Thailand, in 2004, year of the tsunami which completely destroyed this area.

The movie is very well-done for its realistic side: all of the decors and special effects are amazingly well-realized. When the wave arrives, you really have the felling to the in the reality and that you’re going to die!

As the main actors, we have Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts who play their characters with a real professionalism. Their “sons” are also amazing for their young ages. The performance of the main character, Tom Holland, is impressing.

The biggest advantage for us was that this movie is very easy to understand for its language: as foreign students who learn Spanish, we understood the film pretty well.

The Spanish director of the movie is Juan Antonio Bayona.

All in all, this movie is a beautiful, splendid and touching realization which tries not to make us forget what happened in 2004. Successful challenge!

In September, the city of Salamanca opened (free) one day the doors of its museums to interested visitors. To everyone who loves cars and history, you cant’s miss the famous “Historical museum of the Automobile” of Salamanca, full of wonders cars from the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th, until the fastest car in the world: the F1.

In a modern and welcoming environment, you have the possibility to discover the history of these cars, from the most ancients until the youngest, without forgetting the news and the classics. All in all, more than 100 models are exposed and hundreds accessories, pieces and objects.

The museum has the advantage to propose a lot of educative activities which want to help the teenagers to become aware about the Road Savety, car accidents, and a few values like respect and caution. Teenagers and adults will be both served!

Models of exceptions

In an antic style, you have the opportunity to find out a few pearls of the 20th, conserved in a perfect state. These rare models are from different origins: Spain, France, USA, England and so many more.

Let’s go then for the 50th, 60th, 70th with mythic vehicles. Jaguar, Rolls Royce, Cadillac,…

To everyone who likes new cars, you can admire the F1 of Fernando Alonso. A lot of other cars are exposed, with a few hybrid cars.

See you to the Historical Museum of Automobile for a rewarding visit!
